8th Grade Concert Band

We have 1 section of 8th Grade Concert Band this year and they meet during 2nd hour.

The 8th Grade Concert Band typically performs 5 concerts each year, (one per quarter plus the Elementary-JH-HS Band Festival) as well as participates in the District JH Band Festival and/or the ABODA JH Band Festival.

The 8th Grade Band has also participated in the Disneyland Soundtrack Session, where students get to experience a real recording studio and create short soundtracks to Disney clips!

The 8th Grade Concert Band plays a variety of music and styles, but its primary purpose is to develop overall musicianship — focusing on the improvement of tone quality, intonation, balance and blend, phrasing, technique, and rhythm reading.
